A lot of people look at kindness as a weakness but I respectfully disagree. Being kind is the ultimate form of strength because it requires a major amount of conscious effort, for example:
  • You have to stay calm.
  • You have to be aware of your own negative feelings and manage them.
  • You have to behave positively.
  • You have to deliberately decide to behave with empathy and compassion.
  • You have to be able to let go of your own issues.
It takes a lot of courage to be kind, much more than is required to be unpleasant. If you're a kind person, you can be sure that you're a special individual who goes above and beyond the standard crankiness that pervades our society.
