Have you noticed the amount of hate that some people direct at others? While loathing someone else might seem to provide purpose or meaning, it only weakens the person doing it.
Hate, at its core, is about fear. When you're afraid of something or don't understand it, you tend to have a visceral reaction against it because you're trying to protect yourself, it's the fight or flight response that's hardwired into us. The irony is that hate doesn't make you stronger, it consumes vast amounts of energy without adding anything positive to your quality of life.
The great thing about human beings is that we can transcend our animal impulses and consciously heal our fear and love one another. There are many options to hate, including talking to people, learning about them, and treating them with kindness. You can always work on resolving the things inside you that lead to hate so that you can live a healthy, happy life.
What do you do to move past hate?
Cheers,
Guy
